Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

This is a template written for Oukos. Have a qualified lawyer review and adapt it for your company, jurisdiction and payment providers before relying on it.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Oukos (“we”) collects when you use Oukos, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address and profile image, provided through our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign up, including via Google or other sign-in methods.
  • Content: your prompts, conversations, uploaded files and images, generated output, bots you create, and the settings and custom instructions you save.
  • Memory: short facts you ask the assistant to remember (for example “I'm vegetarian”). They are private to your account. When memory is on, they are sent with your messages to the model you choose, like the rest of your conversation, and never to a creator's own server bot.
  • Usage and billing records: models used, token counts, points spent, plan and payment status.
  • Payment information: handled by Polar, our payment processor and merchant of record. We do not receive or store full card numbers; Polar shares transaction references, billing country and status with us.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and logs needed for security, rate limiting and debugging.

2. How we use information

  • to provide the Service: generate responses, store your history, run bots and process payments;
  • to measure usage and bill points accurately;
  • to secure the Service, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms;
  • to communicate with you about your account, billing and important changes;
  • to understand aggregate usage and improve the product.

3. AI model training

We do not use your conversations or files to train AI models. When you send a message, the relevant content is transmitted to the company that made the model you selected (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI) solely to generate the response, under their API terms and data-retention policies.

4. How information is shared

We share information only with:

  • The company that made the model you selected, to generate the reply;
  • service providers that host and operate the Service (e.g. database, hosting, authentication, email);
  • our payment processor and merchant of record (Polar) to complete purchases and handle taxes;
  • other users, when you choose to publish a bot or share a conversation link;
  • authorities, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Retention

We keep your conversations and files until you delete them or close your account. Billing records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Delete individual conversations, or all of them, at any time.
  • Export your data from Settings.
  • Turn off personalization and memory, and view, edit or delete everything remembered, in Settings.
  • Delete your account, which removes your conversations, bots and files.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct or object to processing. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies for sign-in and security, and local storage for preferences like your theme. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and hashed API keys, and we limit access to personal data to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong sign-in method and keep your API keys private.

9. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email.
